Our Community Investment

Giving back to our local communities

At Sensis we believe it’s important to give back to the communities in which we work. That's why we introduced programs that encourage our people to get involved and make a positive contribution.

Our official charity partner – R U OK?

Sensis is proud to be R U OK?’s digital partner, helping them achieve their goal of helping Australians feel connected and start meaningful conversations that save lives.

We recently developed a new website for R U OK? that will help people across Australia find the information they need to start a life-saving conversation every day of the year.

Sensis Community Giving Program

We empower our people to direct some of that ‘giving’ to a charity or community organisation that means something to them.

We’ve established the Sensis Community Giving Program, where twice a year our employees can apply for a grant to help support the charity or cause of their choice. Our main criteria is that they must be involved in that charity or cause in some way.

Many local community groups from across Australia have been recipients of this program, you can watch some of their stories here:
Matched Giving Program

Each Christmas we undertake fundraising for our official charity partner, R U OK? Sensis matches the funds raised – providing additional support to this great organisation.

Annual Covers Program

Each year we select a theme for the covers of our Yellow Pages and White Pages books that supports local communities and showcases their rich stories.

Bring me Inside

In 2015/16, we supported PetRescue, a national animal welfare charity, with our Bring me Inside campaign. We helped rehome some 46,000 pets to their new forever homes through raising awareness in the Yellow Pages and White Pages.

In Search of Baking Legends

For our 2016/17 books we’re looking for undiscovered baking legends across Australia. To help our search, we’ve teamed up with the Country Women’s Association (CWA). For more than 90 years the CWA has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of women and children across regional and rural Australia. Through its network of volunteers, the CWA has also built a strong reputation in baking and empowering one another through the love of food. In partnering with the CWA, we hope to raise awareness of the important work they do in our regional and rural communities.
