Riddell will discuss digital trends showing how innovation and new technologies are transforming the way business owners can work more efficiently.

Held on August 18, at the Glasshouse in Melbourne, the free event ‘Future fit – prep your business for tomorrow’s world’, will advise businesses how to prepare for the future with advice from globally-recognised Chris Riddell who is a regular on Channel 7’s The Morning Show and The Daily Edition.

He’ll discuss digital trends showing how innovation and new technologies are transforming the way business owners can work more efficiently on a daily basis.

Chris has experience creating digital strategies for big brands like Wrigley, Snickers, and Masterfoods, and has previously worked as a consultant with small businesses in regional areas. He’ll share the success stories of these small regional businesses and explain how SMEs can make the most of digital technology to tap into new markets.

Attendees at the event will be greeted with canapes, before listening to an inspirational and practical presentation offering tips that small businesses can put into practice right away. Register attendance for the 12-2pm session here on August 18th.

Sensis will also host two regional events, ‘Digital Boot Camp for trade businesses’ in Red Hill South on August 24 from 5.30-6.30pm at The Epicurean and in Warragul on August 25 from 5.30-6.30 at Wild Dog Winery.

These will be intensive digital training sessions with practical tips and the latest trends on websites, search marketing, and other ways to find new customers for your business. Last year the festival was attended by more than 39,000 participants, 79% were new to the festival and 64% were females while 48% of participants attended a CBD event and 34% of participants attended a regional event.

Interestingly, 58% of attendees were business owner/managers, 17% were looking to start a business, 13% were an employee of a small business, 37% of attendees were sole traders, 20% had 1-2 employees and 17% had more than 20 employees.

The Small Business Festival Victoria will also showcase more than 450 free or low-cost events across the state aimed at helping small business owners start or grow their businesses. Booking for events is simple through the Festival Online Calendar or calling 13 22 15.
