What roles have you worked in in the past?
Over the past nine years at Sensis I’ve gained a lot of great experience and worked in seven roles. I started in 2007 as a Sales rep selling Yellow Mobile Platinum Tiles as a pilot. There were no smart phones back then, the 3G network had just been launched and not everyone had a mobile phone, unlike today.
In 2008, I was a sales rep selling 1234 priority with whereis.com and citysearch.com.au. I then became a manager for one of the teams the same year.
Then in 2011 I joined the management team in Yellow Pages in telesales acquisitions, and by 2014 I was managing a project team selling Yelp search ads and upgraded profiles.
Finally, last year I managed a Growth team handling more than 10 million dollars-worth of accounts before my current role managing both Account Managers and New Business Acquisitions sales consultants specialising in the Trades & Services sectors.
Before Sensis I worked as an Art Director for Masterfoods on the Schmackos brand, creating newspaper ads and sampling campaigns. I later worked at a small marketing company in Fitzroy where I discovered my inner hipster.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
It’s a tie between seeing the people I’ve managed in the past develop into different roles around the business and seeing a customer grow their business with our help. They’re equally as rewarding.
I also love sharing the ‘winning’ moments with my team when they’ve achieved their goals. Sensis does a great job with recognising my hard work with incentives such as trips to Tahiti and Hayman Island.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
Besides trying out the latest foodie hot spots here in Melbourne, I love snowboarding! So far I’ve explored Australia, New Zealand and Japan so far. I hope to go to Switzerland and Canada in the future.
I love experiencing new cultures, food and adrenaline experiences. From fly boarding in Port Melbourne to eating scorpions in China, I love the rush.
