Sensis, Australia’s leading digital marketing services company, has signed a two-year deal with the Victoria Racing Club (VRC), becoming the first official marketing services partner of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
Sensis will create a one-of-a-kind marquee experience, with a customised theme for each of the four race days, while playing host to high profile local and international VIP guests and media in the exclusive ‘millionaires’ row in the prestigious Birdcage.
Sensis CEO, John Allan said: “We are delighted to be partnering with the VRC to enhance the experience for racegoers across the Melbourne Cup Carnival and specifically, within the Sensis marquee.
“As Australia’s largest digital marketing services company we will be delivering digitally led and innovative activations to both the Birdcage and on course at Flemington that both our guests and racegoers can enjoy,” Mr Allan said.
The partnership will also feature naming rights sponsorship of the Group 3 Sensis Stakes (registered name – Bergonia Belle Stakes) on the first day of the Carnival, AAMI Victoria Derby Day.

The uniquely designed and tech savvy Sensis front row marquee in the Birdcage will host over 120 guests and VIPs each day over the four main days of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
The marquee, designed and orchestrated by creative event specialist, Valentina Jovanoska of The Valentina Group, will be transformed each race day to reflect the various products that are Sensis owned.
Ms Jovanoska said: “We are thrilled to be bringing our ‘A Game’ and our ‘A List’ celebrities to the Sensis front row Birdcage marquee during the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Our design for the marquee is inspired by the innovation and technology that only Sensis can offer and together with high impact entertainment experiences, our guests are in for a unique, interactive and fabulous time.”
Mr Allan will host local and international guests, including leading digital partners, customers and representatives from Sensis including the Skip app, Found Digital Agency, Yellow Pages and White Pages across the four race days – AAMI Victoria Derby, Emirates Melbourne Cup, Crown Oaks and Emirates Stakes Days.
VIP guests and ambassadors will attend across the week and will be announced in the coming weeks.
